We made it!!

Well here we are! After a long drive, a loooooong plane ride (well it seemed long...), a not so long bus and ferry ride, we have made it to the stunning Waiheke Island off the coast of Auckland. We have had the day to settle in at my very hospitable Uncle Carey and Ginny's house, which is amazing! Best veiws EVER!
The flight was actually not so bad, as we were well-fed, watered and entertained-which Boh says was "flash as eh' bro". Arriving at 5.30am (1.30am Perth time!) was a little tough, but after perking ourselves up a little with a Macca's coffee and pancakes at the airport (the maple syrup helped a lot...), we were ready for the next step...outside...

Surprisongly, not as chilly as we expected, but still a crisp morning. After tracking down the bus, we were toured through Auckland in time for the sunrise by a really awse bus driver. He pointed us in the right direction, and before we knew it, we were on our way to Waiheke, trying not to fall asleep! And being mesmerized by the beautiful coastal scenery (which we will hopefully take some shots of tommorrow, as we were to zombie-like to achieve anything this morning).

We were greeted at the ferry terminal by Uncle Carey, who gave us a quick tour of the Island, before taking us back to the house, where we were welcomed by Ginny. What an amazing place! It's awesome, such an incredible house, in a super-cool setting. Well after a quick catch up, it was nap time for us tired teens...

The rest of the day was spent cruising the Island in a cool little red rocket that Carey and Ginny lent us, and later on to a sunday arvo jam-session down at a local beach-front cafe'. There was the most awesome guitarist dude, who is now Bohdi's Idol (sorry Daniel Gunn...)..."and I jizzed in my pants"...

Also Tahns got up and sang with the band (the famous Mustang Sally...) and even scored a few groovers! (only ones of the night). There was some pretty darn talented local musos's and even a guy from Freo. We should definately have something like that in Denmark!

Pretty much now all thats left is what smells like a delicious dinner, and then some serious sleeping...

We hit Auckland tommorrow...watch out! lol

Love to you all
